Hotel Jackson has 55 rooms, four of which are suites. The hotel’s light-filled, relaxing lobby sets the tone for the rest of the property. We think the veins running through the stone floor here look like the rivers and streams that flow through the valley. Warm wood, patinated metal, and leather invoke a sense of place and pay homage to our Western heritage. A two-story, wood-burning fireplace is warming in the literal sense. Textiles include traditional and contemporary Native American inspired carpets (designed by our founder), and much of the artwork is by artists represented in local galleries.

Our FIGS restaurant and lounge are comfortable and welcoming places to unwind and enjoy wine and local craft beers, specialty cocktails, and authentic Lebanese cuisine. In-room dining is available for a late-night snack, or an intimate private dinner.

Guests interested in exploring the town of Jackson will find our location convenient: more boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries than you could visit in a week are within walking distance.

During the ski season, Hotel Jackson offers its guests a free a shuttle to both of the valley’s ski areas, Snow King Mountain, which is a 5-minute shuttle ride, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, which is a 20-minute scenic shuttle ride.

History

In 1977, Jim Darwiche was driving through the Wyoming en route to Yellowstone National Park when his Volkswagon Westfalia broke down in Jackson. As the van was getting fixed Jim stayed at the Circle A motel, right off Jackson’s famous town square. Immediately enchanted with the town, the people, and the community of Jackson, Jim ultimately decided to leave his successful corporate career in aeronautics at Boeing in Seattle, Washington. Eager to set down roots and realize his dream of becoming an entrepreneur at the base of the Tetons, the Darwiche family opened a restaurant, expanded into retail, and then commercial development before 35 years later creating Hotel Jackson next door to what was the Circle A Motel.

Because the hotel is locally grown, owned, and operated it is built on the Darwiche Family’s relationships within the community. Standing on the crossroads between wild and urban, western and international, Hotel Jackson is the Darwiche family’s way to convey the story of how unique and special Jackson Hole is to their guests and the world beyond.
